Weathered Journey came to me almost entirely while bike riding on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. While riding I saw an old weathered out-building off to the side of the trail and the Lord immediately gave me the words to the song.

The words reflect the pain our family (as many others) has experienced through the loss of those we love and how God brought us through while walking the narrow path with us. I dedicate this song to the grandbabies, parents, children and friends we have loved and will see again one day.
